Memories Of Mayank

Mayank a small boy of seven years old wanted to spend the New Year with family and friends. He was remembering  the memories of last year celebrations. He was thinking to spend this new year with much joy and happiness. Memories were still afresh. He remembers about the greetings, decoration, ballons, cakes and sparkles.

The following poetic lines are the recollection of his memories:

Celebrations everywhere
Colourful Greetings
Excellent Decoration
Full of joy

Children busy
Bursting balloons
Women Shopping
Wonderful evening

Display of crackers
Cakes at every corner
Happiness in faces
It’s New Year Special.

Excellent Smell
Mouthwatering cakes
In Every Street

Different sizes
Different shapes
Full of Cream
Too good indeed

Young and Old
Rush for store (bakery)
Book orders
Bulk cakes at home.

Play with balloons
In every street, corners
Flowerpots and sparkles
Make excitement double.

Ribbons, Hydrogen bombs
Silencer, Rockets
Make their way
Into heaven (sky)

Fire display
Joyful day
Empty their pockets
In a single day.

Hold it tight
Went outside
Play with friends
Once again.

Put Shampain
Round Table
Look surprised
Caught eye (everyone’s)

Looked at sky
Full of stars
Bottle Open
Wonderful season.

Dad bought bicycle
Mom Sparkles
Brother Rocket
Sister hydrogen. (bombs)

Stood beside me
Little Johnny (dog)
Wanted to tease
Silently watching.

Pulled his tail
Tried a sparkle
Shout at me
I am frightened

No Vacation

Worried about vacation
It’s New Year
Everyone awaits
For my arrival.

Packed my bag
Went to ask
Warden Scolded
Thrown luggage.

Look at the Sky
Full bright
No trace of moon
Forget New Year shine.

Everyone Busy
Mom with sweets
Dad Decoration
Brother with paint.

Sister crayons
Grandma dusting
Grandpa fixing
I left alone.

Idea came in
Want to help
Got Hungry
Had some cake.

Best Wishes

Dad got increment
Mom festive offer
Sister Tuition fee
Brother Scholarship.

new spectacles
Grandpa walking stick
Little John(dog) a bell
Pussy a colourful ribbon.

Everyone got something
I am poor indeed
I got nothing
Best wishes indeed

Forgotten Cakes

Recently shifted
Forgotten something
Couldn’t remember
What it was indeed

Slowly opened
Took out the frame
Wipe it out
Kept on a table.

Bought some cakes
Placed it on table
Then I remembered
Forgotten the cakes.

Pen is mightier than sword. It has always been and will be. Creative thoughts can be developed and circulated among the public to overall growth and development. Writing is the only way through which one can do the same. I have a deep inclination towards writing.
